The official count came in at 607 registered riders, but from what we saw on the trails and at staging, it was easily pushing 700 machines. That puts this as one of the largest single-run ATV events in the Maritimes — and it showed everywhere you looked.
And if there was ever a ride that truly earned the title… this was A Bit of Mud kind of day.
The Turnout Was Next Level
From the staging areas to the ferry crossings, it was machines as far as you could see. Lines of ATVs, side-by-sides, and riders all gearing up for a full day on the trails.
This wasn’t just a ride… this was a full-on event.
The Crew Rolled Out (Almost All of Us)
We had almost the entire Oak Hill Crew out for this one.
Anytime you get that many of us together, you already know how it’s going to go… and this ride did not disappoint.
Mud… and Lots of It
The trails were exactly what you’d expect this time of year — wet, deep, and ready to test both machines and riders.
This wasn’t just a little splash here and there.
This was full-on, tires-buried, sideways-sliding, winch-ready kind of riding — the exact kind of conditions that define what we call

We hit:
- Deep mud holes that stopped riders in their tracks
- Sketchy lines that looked good… until they weren’t
- Go-arounds that sometimes turned out worse than the main trail
When It Went Sideways
Not every decision worked out.
One of the standout moments came when 60 Cent tried to take the “easy way around” a deep mud section… and it didn’t exactly go to plan.
A quick shift, a bad angle, and suddenly things weren’t so easy anymore.
Thankfully, no injuries — just another story added to the day.
Sometimes the “safe” route just gives you a different kind of mud.
Different Strategies Were Definitely in Play
Like every ride, everyone had their own approach.
Some riders were all about the full send, diving straight into the worst of it.
Others… not so much.
We even had one crew member fully committed to the “no dirt please” strategy — walking around the biggest mud holes while the rest of us earned it.
Same trail. Very different choices.
A Ride to Remember
Between the turnout, the conditions, and the crew, this was one of those rides that just sticks with you.
It had everything:
- Big numbers
- Tough trails
- Close calls
- A few laughs (and a few “oh no” moments)
