Diaper Party Run — A Warm January ATV Ride Full of Slips, Slides, and Laughs

Not every ride is about pushing limits or chasing views. Some rides are about showing up for your people — and this one was exactly that.

This January ATV run doubled as a diaper party ride for Timmy (Timm’eh), and unusually warm winter weather turned the trails into a perfect recipe for chaos. Soft ground, slick sections, and unpredictable traction made every corner interesting and every throttle input a gamble.

When Winter Doesn’t Feel Like Winter

January rides usually mean snow, cold air, and frozen ground — but not this time. Warm temperatures created slippery trail conditions that kept everyone on their toes. The lack of traction led to plenty of sliding, spinning, and laughter over the radios as riders tried to stay upright and pointed in the right direction.

It didn’t take long for things to get interesting.

Slips, Slides, and a Donut Gone Wrong

At slow speed, Poor Captain Bagel slid off the trail and into a tree — more embarrassing than dangerous, and thankfully with no injuries or damage. Later, a donut attempt didn’t quite go as planned, resulting in one bike lightly bumping another.

Despite the mishaps, the most important thing held true: everyone was safe, nobody was hurt, and all the machines rode away under their own power.

Sometimes the trail reminds you who’s really in charge.

Why These Rides Matter

This wasn’t a ride about conquering terrain or logging kilometres. It was about friends, laughs, and celebrating a big life moment — welcoming a new chapter for one of our own.

Rides like this are what the Crew Journal is all about. Real conditions. Real moments. No highlight reel perfection — just honest experiences shared on the trail.

Warm January days don’t come often, but when they do, they usually come with stories worth keeping.
