Atv'er riding through icy muddy water

Kicking Off the Season

Spring riding is officially back, and we kicked off the 2026 season the best way we know how. A full crew showed up at the Oak Hill Hall, machines ready, everyone eager to get back on the trails after the winter.

This ride turned into a true A Bit of Mud ATV day in New Brunswick.

Into the Road from Hell

From the hall, we made our way toward Pup Brook, better known as the Road from Hell. Early season conditions lived up to the name. Deep mud, soft ground, and rough sections made for a challenging ride right from the start.

We had a few riders get stuck along the way, but that is part of spring riding. Everyone jumped in to help, and it quickly turned into some of the best moments of the day.

Icy Water Crossings

As we pushed through the trails, we ran into multiple water crossings that still had ice hanging on. These sections required patience and the right line to get through clean.

Some made it look easy, others not so much, but it made for great footage and even better memories.

A Tip Over on the Trail

At one point during the ride, we had a tip over. Spring conditions can be unpredictable, and moments like that are a reminder to stay sharp.

The group handled it quickly, made sure everyone was okay, and we were back on the trail in no time.

Warming Shack Stop

We made our way to the warming shack where everyone took a break, warmed up, and regrouped. It was a good chance to reset before heading back out for the return trip.

Back to Oak Hill Hall

From there, we looped back toward the Oak Hill Hall, wrapping up a ride that had a bit of everything. Mud, water, challenges, and a whole lot of laughs.

What It Is All About

That is what these rides are really about. Good people, helping each other out, and making the most of every moment on the trail.

If this first ride is any sign of what is ahead, the 2026 season is going to be a great one.
