If the CVT belt warning light is illuminated on your 2021 Kawasaki Brute Force 750, you can reset the belt service reminder in just a few minutes using the factory dummy plug.
Steps to Reset the Brute Force 750 Belt Light
- Remove the seat.
- Locate and disconnect the belt reset connector.
- Insert the dummy plug into both sides of the connector.
- Ensure the ignition is OFF.
- Turn the ignition ON. The CVT belt light will begin flashing slowly.
- Remove the dummy plug.
- Reconnect the original connector.
- Turn the ignition OFF for approximately 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition back ON. The belt light should now be reset.

This procedure resets the CVT belt service reminder. It does not repair a worn or damaged belt. If the belt warning light returns after resetting, inspect the CVT belt and clutch components according to Kawasaki's maintenance recommendations.
