Mud, Machines, and Mayhem: Our Trip to Hawk’s Nest ATV Park

ATV rider splashing through a mudhole

There’s nothing quite like the sound of a high-performance bike screaming as it hits a wall of thick, Ontario mud. We recently took a trip up to Hawk’s Nest ATV Park for the Cash Days Mud Bounty Hole Drags, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint.

We were there as spectators this time, hanging out with Miss My Phone, Real Rookie, and mini miss my phone. Even though we couldn't stay for the whole event, the action we caught was absolutely legendary.

The Hole That Couldn't Be Tamed

The main bounty hole was a beast. We watched bike after bike give it everything they had, but that mud was relentless. Most riders weren't making it very far at all. It’s one thing to see it on a screen, but being there and feeling the ground shake when those tires catch—it's a different level of intensity.

The Shift to the Second Hole

When it became clear the main hole was winning the day, the organizers moved the action to a second bounty hole. This one had its own set of brutal challenges, but a few bikes actually managed to blast through! Seeing that power on display was incredible.

The Highs and Lows

Of course, it wouldn't be a true mud drag without some drama. The highlights (or lowlights, depending on who you ask!) ended with one rider tipping right over in the thick of it. It’s a reminder of just how unpredictable this sport can be.

What’s Next?

Watching from the sidelines was great, but it definitely lit a fire under us. We’d love to be more than just spectators next time. We’re currently on the lookout for similar events closer to home.

Oak Hill Crew Needs Your Help! Do you know of any ATV mud drags or bounty hole events near New Brunswick? Whether it’s a local club rally or a major competition, we want to know about it. Drop a comment below or message us—we’d love to see you all out there at the next one!

Until next time, keep it muddy.
