The Oak Hill Crew Divas returned to Petitcodiac for their second time taking on the annual Whose Ur Mudder obstacle course event, and once again the day delivered plenty of mud, laughs, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.
Held at Maple Street Park, Whose Ur Mudder has become a popular community event that challenges participants with a variety of muddy obstacles, water crossings, climbing challenges, and team-building activities designed to test both endurance and determination. This year's event welcomed participants aged 14 and up and featured music, prizes, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to get completely covered in mud.
After checking in and completing registration, the Oak Hill Crew Divas joined the warm-up session before heading to the starting line. Spirits were high as the team prepared to tackle the course together.
Throughout the event, participants crawled through mud pits, climbed over obstacles, slid down slippery hills, and worked together to overcome each challenge along the way. While some obstacles tested strength and endurance, others simply provided plenty of laughs as competitors struggled to stay upright in the thick mud.
One of the most memorable obstacles on the course was the large soap hill slide. Unfortunately, it was here that the day took an unexpected turn.
During the obstacle, one of our team members, No Dirt Please, suffered a Grade 2 hamstring injury after her leg was hyperextended.
Event staff and emergency responders acted quickly, and she was transported for medical assessment. Thankfully, no surgery is required.
Her recovery plan includes no weight bearing for the first three days, crutches for approximately one week, and a follow-up with physiotherapy to begin the recovery process.
Despite being down a teammate, the remaining members of the Oak Hill Crew Divas pushed forward and completed the course together. While the finish line looked a little different than expected, the team spirit and determination that brought everyone to the event remained strong right to the end.
What could have ended the day on a negative note instead became a reminder of what makes events like this special. Friends supported one another, participants checked in on fellow racers, and the focus quickly shifted from competition to making sure everyone was safe and cared for.
We want to extend our thanks to the organizers, volunteers, medical staff, sponsors, and fellow participants who helped make Whose Ur Mudder 2026 another memorable event. Events like these bring communities together, create lasting memories, and remind us that sometimes the biggest victories come from simply supporting one another through unexpected challenges.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, and we wish No Dirt Please a smooth recovery as she begins the next step with physiotherapy.
